Davy Jones' Locker

Davy Jones' Locker

A Chapter by Bekah B

Every word you speak is like water

Drowning me so quickly

Catching in my lungs

To pull me under

Underneath the growing void

That darkens my sight

Whenever I feel you-

Your touch like poison

Seeping into my veins

Boiling dark red blood-

The color everything becomes

When you're with me

I can't trust you, I can't love you

You're treacherous as the sea

With waves that crash

Around me like a cage

I'm held down

Chained to the ocean floor

No friends but Davy Jones

And a troubled mind-

I hear you and my life

Flashes before my eyes

I don't want you, I don't need you

But you're in my blood

It's all wrong and it will be

In all the futures I can see

You're the water in my lungs

The poison in my blood

I'm suffocating on the promises

That just keep falling through

But still I keep coming back

And God help me, so do you.
