Cloak and Dagger

Cloak and Dagger

A Chapter by Bekah B

There's a cracked asphalt road
Covering the distance I'm afraid to go
There's a thousand miles from here to there
On a wicked path that I won't dare
Travel all alone to catch you-
You're the kind of man with everything to prove
Somewhere to go and nothing to lose
This cloak and dagger's wearing me thin
Lost all hope you'll be back again
I could follow you to the end of the world
But I'm too proud, I won't be that girl
With a calm, quiet disposition
And I won't make you my mission
When every time I find you, you run
Disappeared to the wind, to the setting sun.
