Invocation to Athena

Invocation to Athena

A Chapter by Bekah B

Athena, break these chains of mine
This curse upon my head.
Shatter all the swords and spears
Aiming for my back.
Battle-hardened, wise Athena,
Protect your daughters and your rebels.
Do not forsake the wise at heart
Who battle long and hard
With thought and action against all odds.
You who sprang from Father Zeus
Garbed in armor of the gods,
Raise your shield and wield your spear
As enemies close in
For no mortal foe can break a line
Which Victrix Athena yet defends.
