A Poem by Bex

Trees and stars contrast one another under darker skies

With the moon; bare skinned

Absent of light and stealing from another

Complication

I find a solace in not seeing my own scars

I know them each and every one

Eyes closed

I remember every curve

Every imperfection

Every touch of warmth

Raised skin and open wounds

I want to forget.
