Her mind and heart a thousand miles away,
wishing he'd still be at her side on this day.
It had been several moons since their last embrace,
the seaside resort, she could still see his face.
They had met on a dance floor, amongst sounds of salsa and lust,
blood and passion burning, into his bed she was thrust.
He eclipsed all her walls of mountain that fateful night,
taking away her heart, by the seaside flight.
Now as she turned and gazed beautifully down,
she couldn't help but smile, at her baby's eyes of brown.

I read you were new to writing and I can tell you this is a great start. Go with what you know and what comes naturally. Dont try and force something out. I enjoyed this and encourage you to keep on!
