WatchingA Poem by Ashley GriffithsA few thoughtsI heard Dylan For the first time today At the age of 32 What have I been doing? Has anyone got a clue?
I see the sun shine through The towers of neon lights What does it all mean? I think I have lost the plot
Cause today I am not working Sun drenched In the shade Watching Movies Pretending to be Charades
I saw her smile today At the age of 45 Can anyone tell me? Am I really alive?
I saw a film once On a million foot high sky What does it all mean? I think I have done a lot.
I saw myself today At the age of 99 Could anyone tell me Where did I lose my spine?
Cause today I am not working Sun drenched In the shade Watching words Coming alive in the rain
I knew a boy once With dreams as big as the sky What does it all mean? And where did he go?
Once somebody told me There would be answers Where 'x' marked the spot But today I am not working And can't see So, I guess it is time to go. © 2014 Ashley GriffithsReviews
