Silk Scarf In The Wind

Silk Scarf In The Wind

A Poem by beefjerky
"

something so weak, yet so sturdy...

"
A tornado struck through the region
It swiped away
Everything.
The winds of it did
Rip and tore
Apart the whole city.
It's cycloning winds hurled
Sucking and shooting things into the air
And I was almost taken with it.
I ran and ran and ran
But the winds
Were faster than I.
I noticed
I wasn't slow
Just my silk scarf was holding me back.
So
I tied it to that pole
Standing left right besides me.
And I fled with everyone else
Running, running
Can't turn back.
But I did as it became silent
Tornado faded
Home dstroyed.
Standing alone,
I saw my silk scarf in the winds
Something so weak, yet so sturdy...

The way you told this poem was good! I like the title and the finishing line. You had a lot of good word choice! I liked it!

The way you told this poem makes it sound very awkward to me.
