Unseen

Unseen

A Poem by .::Cup^E^Cake*RaWr!*::.
"

I wrote this for the children that are or have ever had to go through child abuse. It's a very crule thing that alot of people don't see when it's right before their eyes.

"

She stands up

after breaking a toy.

She says 'Mommy Mommy'

while in tears.

No one sees it,

the bruises on her back.

Alone she sits,

no one understands.

Her Mommy beats her

over & over again.

No matter what she dose

she can not win.

All the other kids

think she's just weird

when the teacher turns to her

& her eyes fill up with tears,

She's only six years old.

How can this abuse go unseen?

How can her mother do this to her?

How can someone be so mean?

Nothing worse in this world then people who abuse a helpless child... you captured just how pathetic an adult who does this really is and how mental damaging it can be to the child.

It'll be very good if you take out any line which actually says straight out that her mother beats her - a poem like this needs to be subtle and let the reader work it out for themselves in order to pack the emotional punch intended. Apart from that, great work =)
