One DayA Poem by Cat TeeFor the one you couldn't marry. The stage is set. She will walk down the aisle. Her blondeish, brownish, reddish hair flows in and out of her waves of flawless styling. She is your living statue of Aphrodite and she will walk down the aisle to be beside you. You who once stood there, tux crisp with starch and nerves But let me tell you, when you’ll see Her, All the worries, pasts, thoughts, everything, will pick up and pirouette into the clouds and stardust. You love her. Like, fairytale love her. And wherever, whenever, I hear this from, When I feel it hit me, I’ll only be happy. Maybe a couple of tears will drop, maybe I’ll chuckle, but You finally did it. You learned to love again And the curtain calls to me. I willingly duck back behind the shades of red closing, for the last time. And cue: She will walk down the aisle. Her blondeish, brownish, reddish hair flows in and out of her waves of flawless styling. She is his living statue of Aphrodite and she will walk down the aisle to be beside him. He who once stood there, tux crisp with starch and nerves But let me tell you, when he’ll see Her, All the worries, pasts, thoughts, everything, will pick up and pirouette up into the clouds and stardust. He loves her. Like, fairytale loves her. And they will live happily ever after. © 2014 Cat TeeAuthor's Note
