Nobody

For each day that comes

The sun goes down

 

For each night that comes

I'M wrapped tight in fright

Hoping that I have the strength in mind to get rid of the pain of being

A nobody

 

When each time

I'm sick with trying to find the answer

And crying when trying

To find the courage to stop being

A nobody

 

When I put on my disguise

And swear I will win

Somehow the gaze of life comes looking for me

Disguised by those around

And the pain gets worse of being

A nobody

 

When I hope to stop the fearful shadows

Of worry from getting too neat

The singing of shame begins to get louder and as my eyes fill with water
