Be Me

About gaining my betterment.

Being me is hard to do

I even keep myself on showing

The other me to you

It’s because I just want to be accepted

Rather than be rejected

Attention was all I ever wanted

But I was not appreciated

 

For me to be recognized,

I planned to be bad,

But the outcome made me sad

It made me look even more outrageous

And the feeling of it made me precious

For I finally caught the attention of certain persons

 

But one day I realized

That it was all really bad

For me to be pretending

 Just to blend in

 

Because I've realized that there’s no other better way

To show my personality

A way for me to be happy just as I’ll ever be

And that is to be me.
