The Madness Within

Since when was I like this?

Mind eaten away by the unknown

I was shunned for my differences

Though my friend tells me

"They're afraid of something out of the norm."

Was it my unending riddles?

Or my crazed hysteric singing?

But to me 

Those were the only way to mask the pain

The only way to not think of the losing battle within

The only way to drown out the inevitable madness

Or am I already mad as they say I am?
