Howl in the moonlight

A poem of Loss

 I'm angry at the sky

i howl in the moonlight

for the pain of having you

 and losing you has brought me

how am i to survive

when i held you once so tight

in my womb like no other

i hope you are at peace

your loss leaving me in pieces

by the hearth of what would be the place

where you would rest

this fire will keep me warm

throughout all the heart ache and storms

that i will bear forever as your

mother
