No one ever told me

that this is what it'd be like

to grow up

I used to scream into pillow's 

beat them up until the feathers popped out

because I felt unheard

I'd pick up all my stuffed animals

throw them at the door

starting a commotion

because i thought it'd make you hear me more

all it did was make you angry

 I welcomed the anger

because atleast it was something

directed towards me

being stuck in the middle

seemed to really f**k up my head

i'd lie awake all night

drenched in tears

I've always just wanted to be wanted

to be chosen 

to be seen

i'd cut my body to ribbons

if it made you notice me

i'd do anything

if you just showed me

you loved me

I'd do anything for you

despite what it does to me.
