I'll get through

I crave the feeling of water

How it can be still and thoughtful

Or scary and powerful

It matches my emotions

The thoughts that often invade my peace

I seek solace in the stillness

But feel heard in the intensity

As the waves take me under

The moment where i don’t know if I'll be swept under

Or pushed to the surface, spared

Sometimes i plead with the water to take me

So that i don’t have to deal with the pain 

Life often brings me

But she shows me her mercy 

It’s not time yet

And i know I'll get through another day
