Lay thy to restA Poem by beauitifulybrokenI place a bouquet of flowers at the site of the grave of the old me, filled with daisies, roses and carnations she is gone, the old wanderer I hope she will find peace she died in the hands of a lonely heart living life, coasting by, playing her part she made it as long as she could but felt the change she died peacefully, freed from her cage this new me, standing before the site of the old this new person I am, her story is yet to be told I hope she is happy, and her wonder is intact her fate won't be the same as the old me, she befriends her shadows, her demons, they dance to the song of her mistakes as lessons her heart is full and bright she's walked through the darkness long enough to recognise the light she is hopeful, whimsical and kind her dharma, is her's to find lives life her own rules, see's the magic in the everyday stays up at night to watch the fireflies fly away she is free, no longer caged by loneliness here lies the old me, the one who couldn't stay for the change of the season is upon us a new life cycle has come I lay you to rest old one, to find peace in all your broken pieces to come together as you have undone
