Excellent Opportunity

A Chapter by Ashton Smith

           Dade City, Florida

            September 27, 2014

            4:45 pm

Session with Chase Reynolds, 17 year old witness

Family member present: Kathryn Reynolds, mother

Kathryn Reynolds: "I'm concerned about him."

Chase Reynolds: "Mom..."

Kathryn Reynolds: "No Lu- Chase." *turns to Agent McCoy* "He is getting worse. He's not sleeping or even eating. When he is sleeping, if you even call it that, all he does is have nightmares and scream! He won't come out of his room anymore, only for school."

Agent McCoy: "Chase..."

Chase Reynolds: *stares at the floor* "I can't get her out of my head."

Agent McCoy: "Abby? Now Chase, we've discussed this time and time over again. You need to get her out of your mind and move on. Make new-"

Chase Reynolds: *glares* Don't say that! Abby will never leave my mind. But it's not Abby..."

Kathryn Reynolds: "But Luke.. who??"

Chase Reynolds: *sighs* "Her name is Emma."

Agent McCoy: "Who exactly is this? A friend?"

Chase Reynolds: "Not exactly. I've only talked to her once, two weeks ago. I have looked for her everyday but she hasn't been at school."

Agent McCoy: "Well Chase, this is an excellent opportunity to get to know some guys. Ask around and figure out more about her."

Chase Reynolds: "But-"

Kathryn Reynolds: "It's settled then!"

Session ended at 4:58 pm
