Graphite Mosaics

Graphite Mosaics

A Poem by beautifulblade
"

5/14/15

"
Her body folded towards itself
in a makeshift shield,
but minute hands
of straggling clocks
pierced her aging armor
as she waited for her hero.

She wrote the days away,
drew graphite mosaics on
white knights
until her hope was covered
in marbled gray smudges
where she tried to
erase what made her. .
