Chicken Soup for the Soul

I marinate my words with as much emotion as I can,
stirring them into pots of chicken noodle soup
because that's what mother made when I was sick,
and lately,
I have been throwing up sentences
until my thoughts overflow
and spill down the sides of my sink.
