misery vs enlightenment

misery vs enlightenment

A Poem by beautiful disaster

Scorching sun on glistening skin.
Blue eyes open, will they let me in?

Rays of light shining through.
I know its me, do you know its you?

Arms crossed and held tight
As if to put up a fight.

Eyes secured shut to never let the memory of the blue stars fade into the unforgotten.

A excellent poem. Each line with a purpose. I like the ending. Trying to lock in a face or memory. Thank you.
