CampingA Poem by br.reedDay 5 of 90 Days of PoetryBeneath the covers’ of a starlit sky, A blanket of nature wrapped around, Upon a Colorado mountain high, There’s a place of wonder to be found. Among the majestic pines and woods That sooth the worries of yesteryear, Where the stillness does the soul some good, A needed shift from life’s high gear. Using stones as a place to sit Close family and friends gather round To drink the warmth of the campfire pit As each tell of joys they’ve found And as the sun begins to rise We soak in one last breathtaking view, Then journey back into our busy lives Revitalized, rejuvenated, and renewed. © 2014 br.reed |
