Ode to a Writer.

Ode to a Writer.

A Poem by br.reed
"

Day 1 of 90 days of Poetry.

"
Some people complain about the voices
I think they suit me just fine
It's sort of a refreshing notion
To live within my mind

I think that's common among writers
After all, we live so many lives
One day we might rob a bank
The next we might travel time

Or we might become a pirate
A treasure hunting buccaneer
Decide we want to explore space
Humanities last great frontier

We can live as Captains and Generals
As nobility, Gods, or mortal men
Befriend aliens and mermaids
See life through a foreign lens

Now I'm not saying we're crazy
Nor will I admit we've gone mad
I'm just saying it can be amazing
To live through a pen and a pad

We are all stories in the end
So why not write yours down
Cause our time here is limited
But our tales may stick around

About
Ever since I was little, I've created elaborate stories about space, superheros, and monsters. Now that I'm 25... nothing much has changed. I have finished a few short stories and have worked as an on.. more..
