Ask not why we dare to dream.A Poem by br.reedDay 1 of 90 days of poetry.Ask not why we dare to dream, Of life, of love, and precious things, Too long to live a life so full, And find treasured joy in all we do. Yet, ask not why we’re afraid to try To fulfill these longings, and wonder why We live not one life, but really two, One that’s secret and one that’s true. Or perhaps our lives are really the dream And our soul wakes up when our bodies sleep, Could it live another life, so separate and new? And long to experience our world too? So ask not why we dare to dream, Of life, of love, and distant things. © 2014 br.reedFeatured Review
