Bonds

Bonds

A Poem by br.reed
"

This is a prologue poem to a play I wrote about a firefighting team who faces both physical and physiological traumas, and how good intentions can lead to negative consequences. (PLAY COMING SOON)

"
Four empty seats, under neon lights,
A moment of tranquility, Valhalla after the fight,
Raising glasses, toasting not just with friends,
But sisters and brothers, family supposedly loyal to the end.
Bounded in oath and born from fire
Warriors of strong will... but who all fall victim to their own desires.
How easily the bonds between us are broken
Not from the lies we tell but from truths best left unspoken.

Ever since I was little, I've created elaborate stories about space, superheros, and monsters. Now that I'm 25... nothing much has changed. I have finished a few short stories and have worked as an on.. more..
