Poor Fear!

Poor Fear!

A Poem by Beatrice
"

What if you were in the shoes of Fear? How, then you would feel, my dear?

"
Fear is an impossible thing. But then I would have to elaborate upon what is impossible.... and that, my fellow human, is beyond my mental capability...

Fear is a melancholy soul
it took my will
and takes its toll
it eats until it's full
if you push it
it only pulls

Fear is a blacksmith
Married to a tinker
That only makes sense
to the deepest thinkers

Fear is pain
and tears wept cruel
Fear is the feeling
we are taught is rule

The world is lovely
and so is fear
Fear is my best friend
and I love him dear

Poor Fear feels like an outcast
an oddball
That's why when you develop fear
He latches on
everyone he's nice to
makes him feel all wrong
as though he should be gone!
What did Fear ever do to you?
And now you are afraid of fear...
and that's very wrong my dear
how am I to be more clear?
Poor fear!
