Dangerous Dreams

Dangerous Dreams

A Poem by Beatrice

I meet life with a smile
greet it with a laugh,
For nothing found in this world
is so impossibly daft
Nay! I must retract that statement
a lie spake I, to be exact
I find there are those who  ignore
this life filled with fact
You say life's a journey
an endless path
But when the path becomes lifeless
the journey lacks
So never say never,
yet never give up...
With contradicting quotes about never,
should I never fall in love?
And if so, why must I fall?
Shall I skip, can i  dance..?
Or hug into love?
Remain cautious as a serpent,
innocent as a dove!
Spread thy wings indeed,
need a little shove
Safe and sound
sound and safe
Unlimited ability
 world's mouth left agape
You can't! You won't! You shan't! You don't!
Claims piercing through my brain...
I will! I can! I yelled and ran...
The adrenalin pumping through my veins
Excuse me while I kiss the sky,
and sing to a cloud
I can and will fulfill my dreams
because I said I was aloud!

So often poetry reflect the darkness that one feels inside or has experience at one point in their life. I absolutely love the hope and will power that sung through your words. This piece was filled with emotion and motivation that touches my heart. It's inspiring to say the least. One little thing:
The very last word is misused/misspelled-aloud should be allowed. Thank you for sharing and please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.
