ConsequenceA Poem by So Ensnared TruthI deserved it. She did not.Consequence She always knew if I was there Somehow remembering me Amongst the chaos I cared for her, and, seemingly, she cared for me Others would be ignored Dismissed, even As she sought me out I felt loved and wanted I was told that I must be special “She’s not like that with anyone else”
I haven’t seen her for some time Not through choice, but through consequence Through a fault of my own A fault I never intended, but one I deservedly was punished for
Now we don’t see one another And probably never will I use my solitude to think of her Praying she’ll remember me Think of me Miss me
And forget me... © 2014 So Ensnared TruthAuthor's Note
