chimeA Poem by Amy Craig Beasleyrocking back and forth in the wind
swinging and twisting
here and there
the metal chime is cool
reflecting a cold heat
away
while articulating in a moon-like way
the suggestions that lie
on the tip of the sun-bathed tongue
of the wind
chime chime
clink click click
ding
He sounds and resounds and
I listen
but
on this December Day
I can not comprehend a word
not even one word
of what he has to say
the wind the chimes
and I
side by side by side
rifting
and twisting
and silent
so smooth and round and cool
