My Last Kind Words

My Last Kind Words

A Poem by Bearcub The First

My emotion shatters my very being

You could say that this is a last mans words

For I am dead inside

I no longer breath

I no longer want to live

I have all but lost all hope

For hope is all I can hold onto

It is my last breath

My hear beats as if it is a millennia years old

It beats with agony and anger

She is so beautiful but it is an illusion

She is like Medusa and has turned my heart into stone

Jealousy is my curse

For nothing else lives

I do not feel comfort in your words

All I hear is the screams of the dying

My blood boils into a thick coarse unforgiving tar

For these are the only words

These are my last kind words for you

Wow, that's really powerful
If I were the crying type I probably would have
It really touched me because I feel like that most days too
Hope things get better or that you speaking of past emotions

This is powerfully packed with sadness and despair! This is well written and a story is painted of one who let you down to the point of considering death. That Medusa is so not worth it! Time will heal all. I like the shape of your poem and the fluid emotions running throughout.
