Big South Mountain

Big South Mountain

A Poem by Chad Wesley Allbrett
"

This is about a place out in Owyhee County.

"

Come tumble along wind, a lead horse following. A bay saddled that I'm ridin', I'm dreaming of mountain mateing with little clouds in the blue sky horizon.
Southward I've not seen yet.
Juiper draws with Aspens up the canyon, where big ancient mule deer bucks have horns of divination.
Stones
cackel click shod hoofs under, and over my direction accending
places of Northern Piute meditation, vision places with dreams the coulor of antelope skin.
Thunder headed afternoon finds me, green stremside a gurgle.
Water
precous in the red brown sage brush grey land, like the tops of the thunderhead lighter, and black where the cloud dreams of rain.
Lighting with thunderbird eyes not to fear it, but to gaze at hugeness with wonder.
At the head of the ridden canyon, my hat pulled low a small ceiling, the winds to sumit I'm finding, wild horses winny back at my horses, the sun with rapture infolds me. to the mountain at the back of the sky.

I love the images here that you have described! I'm not sure about the structure, if there was a specific form you were trying to reach, or if it was free form. It did read kinda jumbled. But perhaps that's the effect you were trying to obtain, along your ride in this beautiful place.

Thanks for sharing!
