Best of Friends

Best of Friends

A Poem by Bear
"

oh, just the self questioning of a fool... me.

"

Will I burn out to fast (as in the past)

              Am I strong enough

to let it last (or will I push it away)

              If I were "sure"

I'd hang around and watch you blossom

        To learn and grow

            As you learn and grow.

        To change...

                          to be perfect,

         with you...

                        in that changing.

         Will I cop out

         and leave you be...

at the point "we" become inconvenient

                                   for "me".

                            When I am stagnated...

          will I take the chance

    and

          wade through

                              the

                                   waves

                      that will push me back?

          Will I chance

                          going past     the point

                                   of no return?

     When ~

                if I do...

         I'll fly with you,

                               with me...

what a wonderful peom bear. I can relate to the self-questioning. Too often I sit there wondering about all the "what if's" "will I's" "what do I" "should I" "could I" sometimes these questions can drive you to the brink of insainity, though sometimes reveal a part of you or an idea you seemed to look over before.

I really like how you have set this peom out, it helps it flow even more, and gives it this life and shape that reflects the peoms themes. Frienship is something that most certainly should be valued.
I also really like how you ended the poem with FREE. Friendship while made of bonds has this liberating feel to it, like you together can achieve anything, go above and beyond.

brilliant peom, an enjoyable read.
well done.

love it!!! Valor JS said it all, the flow, the brakes, the structure just makes the poem!

I like the we/me notion and way the hesitancy seems to be trumped by the positive notion at the end of the poem which suggests that the chance will be taken.

I love this! Especially the way you have formatted the words that really show the changing, ebb, and flow of a friendship! Great job!!! Take care~~~
