Thinking and hanging- two words that you repeat that brilliantly, simply, describe life! And what you think and what you hang on to, can certainly determine the quality of that life. Your tone is nostalgic, warm, and with purpose-get to work, get it done, but enjoy the ride and the memories along the way. Love it, truly... The feeling of living life in the moment-- driving around bends, enjoying a cig, looking at the moon, but relishing the past, and looking toward the future-"friends that I'll get to know". good work!
driving makes it much easier to think sometimes. i like this poem. simple, but so true & you've expressed it well. sometimes, all you want to do, is get in your car & drive. :)
This was a brilliant piece! So simple yet so profound! loved it. It is so how life can go. we shift forward and keep going down the winding roads on and on; up and down hills. The voice was soothing and the flow was great. It did read like a song. Fantastic!

This poem could be the lyrics of a song.. it has something in it that lends it to a good old guitar and a deep gravelly voice! I love the intention of it, how getting ready, getting off and away, driving along, thinking is representing ( i thi-i-i-nk) life itself. That's how i read it and some of your other readers say the same, so.. only you know if that's what you're meaning. I truly like this.. it has something special to it.. Thanks for sharing.
we're always gettin to where we're gettin to :) I like the repetative driving on and on.. like it's never ending yet we all know the road ends somewhere. I love to let my mind just wander aimlessly while I drive to work, so I can avoid actually thinking about work and admitting to myself that that's where I'm going :) Great write I enjoyed it.
Born on April Fool's Day and I'm left handed to boot. Enjoy the outdoors, feed the birds and squirrels, and really enjoy moon gazing on clear nights and even on cloudy nights I love seeing the moon m.. more..
