Realized at Morning's DawnA Poem by Bearlate night observations from 21 years ago that were put upon the page.
With the rising of the sun comes the end of the night's peaceful silence. With the rising of the sun the songbirds awaken one by one... the sky slowly, gradually dissolves from black into blue. The song of the bird~ becomes the symphony of the flock. There are background subtleties and punching symbols, as well as lonely, aching cries.... Repeated, repeated. The sun brings it's masks of color to the day. The sky ~ The clouds ~ Come within reach. With the day comes the solid feel of nature. Everything is visible... everything can be sensed. Life becomes more understandable with the brightness of day. Yet, as day travels into night... life flows in reverse....... the songs diminish one by one: those lonely aching cries go last. The sky dies brilliantly In ~~ pink, orange, red, purple, blue, black. Black ~ ~ ~ makes the sky deepen Stars ~ ~ ~ make the sky mysterious Wonderment ~ ~ ~ is the night... when the last song is tucked away. The peaceful silence sings... songs of thoughts, songs of words, songs of dreams... kept company by mystery, overseen by stars and lit by the shining moon. Peaceful is the night - - - when filled with these.
