Gray

Gray

A Poem by Bear
"

Oh, just some thoughts about winter inspired by the sights seen around my front yard 21 years ago.

"

Gray---

     the world is gray...

the fog has set in to

        warn us of

                       the storms yet to come.

Soon...

          the clouds...

                            the wind...

      the flakes...

                       will come,

and cover the earth in a

blanket of snow...

                      sealing the tomb...

  life becomes dormant ~

                                 frozen

                                   in time...

      until the thaw...

          until the first greenery

              fights throught the decay

to breathe life into "us" once again.

Oh this was divine! The imagery inside brought me laong in my mind with your words and I tredged along in the snow and felt the breese of cold upon my cheeks.. I know many do not like the cold and winter-like scenery, me, I adore it! Yes the ending was fantastic in the imagery of what was to come, but I so loved the idea of the comings of the winter winds....
