Snowblind

Snowblind

A Poem by Beano

There: in the distance
Snowfalls, heavier and heavier
Landscapes of solitude, muted
Not by grief but the all-knowing.

What still moves underneath?

As I fell further to thinking
You turned and said:
'Come outside, watch it fall'
Those eyes, those eyes
Recessed through the glass
Bright and visible still
As the hereafter.

Great read Beano. I absolutely adore the great stand-alone line "What still moves underneath" which opens up the poem and reader's mind to so many great possibilities

The landscaoe can change with heavy snowfall, but it is not permanent. It reminded me of our emotions and how they can change from one state to another. Your poem made me feel sadness, but it will pass just as the melting snow does. Lovely poetry Beano.
