fameA Poem by beancountersarAt lunch today while driving through Wendy's, it suddenly dawned on me that celebraties are denied even this nice convenience. I thought about how terrible it must be to live a lie...being someone inside, yet having to maintain an outside persona.
Fame Will someone rip this mask from my face? I’m recognized most everyplace and I feel Like a big cat pacing in a cage. Please let me be who I want to be And not what you may think of me. My heart is filled with passive rage. Trapped inside this fantasy and betrayed By a phony name; I’m property bought and paid. Save me from this claustrophobic cell. This ‘fame’ has betrayed with Judas’ kiss And all I ever want is simple bliss Oh someone save me from this living hell. © 2009 beancountersarAuthor's Note
