Dance of RosesA Poem by beancountersarI watched a video of ballet..it inspired this one.
Dance of Roses May I have this dance with you tonight While we stand bathed in mellow moonlight? Shall I take your hand of warm and tenderness And lift if high supported by mine but no less? Will you yearn for me with heart wide open While you look down and glance away again? Does your romantic lust cry out to be loosened While your windows gaze upon my shoulders? The dance of love beckons us two to entwine as one Like two roses grow together, winding toward the sun. Let us go forth together since my heart can no longer Bear this burden of denial, nor satisfy for you this hunger. Steve May 12, 2009 © 2009 beancountersar |
