The other side

The other side

A Poem by beancountersar

The other side

Splendor and magnificence await me there;

The towering Olympus touches the Glory of Heaven.

Mighty horizon bright with parting clouds hiding blue:

I must journey on toward destiny resting on the peaks.

Now I stand on stalwart ground, solid and clothed in gold;

Mild breezes stroke my hair and massage my cheeks.

Besides, a fence divides my desires:  to be safe or to venture?

Tear it down! Rip it away fast!  Onward ever to life!
