The ArtistA Poem by beancountersarThis is another one in honor of Vincent Van GoghPaint a picture , Vincent dear tender friend. Dig from you pallet as mining truth of ages; Draw from your well of colors combined; Tell us a story with swirls and strokes. Oh creator give life to the canvass so plain; Breath life with your brush, quicken the scene With an explosion of reds as bright as a field berries, And golds bolder than sun-bathed Aspen leaves. Tell the tale, my friend, with blues deeper than an Autumn day above peaks of white and shadows so Dark and dreary even the death of black does not hide The sinister intent of its designs, nor depth of its depravity. From deep within, dear Vincent, pull all of your passion; Play the bright orange as a cymbal loud, strike it, shout it! From the depths, Van Gogh, bare your heart, preach to the Prisoners, set us free in sharing the anguish of your pain. Steve Copyright Nov. 4, 2008 © 2008 beancountersarReviews
