Celebration of AppreciationA Poem by beancountersarI wrote this one many years ago when I was feeling extra noble for some reason..Celebration of Appreciaton It is not owned by fortune or fame; By those who would seek it for personal gain, Nor by those who this world’s lies do ensnare; Whose end comes so quickly as if by a dare. Those who would seek it know all to well That its attainment can conquer the Powers of Hell. And while the odyssey is riddled with doubt, It becomes the crown of the true and devout. As pure as distanced snow touched by the ray, Or deep like the sound of the coast’s crashing wave. Rich as the palace of the mightiest king; And with strength to protect like a brooding hen’s wing. Honor can never be bought or enticed, Swindled, stolen or captured in shiest. For it is the end of a road long and weary; A journey of woe and a trail of tears. So to those who desire this glorious crown, I say that there is no easy way it can be found. Truth in the Heart with show it the way And guide the Soul on to wear it one day.
