That Voice, Louder Than All

That Voice, Louder Than All

A Poem by Ash

Lost in your blissful words,
You're true intentions are left unseen.
As clear as glass,
My future seemed.
I saw a child blooming,
She would rise beyond herself.
She walks with rose tinted glasses
Around the world,
Blinded by ignorance
But content.

You shattered the glass
With your fist of iron.
In a simple flash,
Life would no longer be wonderland.
Lie follows lie.
Command follows command.
All of which leading me to my grave.
Together,
We walked,
Hand in hand.
In your warm embrace,
Nothing in my eyes could flaw you.
The ice in your veins
And blizzard in your nonexistent heart
Was left ignored.

The Neverland of my childhood,
Demolished in s fierce blow.
But who is more the delusional,
The Devil,
Or those who trail behind him?

And so we continue on,
Blind leading the blind,
Darkness dimming the flickering light,
Into my upcoming demolition.
"Yet have no fear,"
Myself from the present whispers,
"For angels shall be sent down,
To guide this soul,
Back to Neverland once again."
