I RecallA Poem by AshWhen memories of them start flooding in, you can't help but wonder if they even remember youI recall the days, where the world seemed as a dream, the days where laughter was equivalent to life, as a child with their youth, I recall the music, as it danced through our souls, giving fuel to our hearts when we were running on empty, like a car on the highway of life, ...I recall the songs, that created fairytales on stage, But oh, how I recall the stage, I gazed out to the crowd, each applause reminded me...that was were I was meant to be, As certain as my hair was gold, as true as my eyes that were full of pride, yet they both have dulled, when life has taken its toll, Tears I thought were of pain, were determination in disguise, That wave in the sea I never thought was me, could have been all along, Oh how memories are strong, as they tear a hole through your heart, yet do not despair, it will soon be repaired, by Father Time himself, Now as I return to my life, I must leave on one note, I recall them...oh how I recall them, But do they recall me?
