to fall in love with a poet

to fall in love with a poet

A Poem by bey

endless creation
and late night scribing
dipped in life ink
until quills
are made nub

tongues share
quiet expressions
made loud by
the screeching of
pen to pad

we flow extensively
on a gesture made
the other day
before yesterday
when you said
i like the way
red looks against your skin

egg shell walls
book stacks
oak table and fireplace
home
made
center
peace

we write
like poets in love

ahh, you've been calling your poet for quite a while...amazing what the universe does with the gentlest of whispers...

home...made...center...peace, oh how i love that! beautifully done! this piece is warm and sensual and everyday...i can see the fireplace, the slips of paper, the dangling pens, and the exhausted lovers...mmmm...

did i mention i love this?
