torture queen

torture queen

A Poem by bey

i want to rip my skin in long slow strokes to drown out the crying of my heart.

i want to hold my heart and stab it with spikes and pound it unrecognizable, like the love we once saw in each other's eyes.

i want to gouge my eyes with spades or spoons creating black holes that would swallow the visions of me envisioning us joyfully happy hand in hand.

i want to take a jagged edge and distinctly dismember my hand that once held your face and brushed your brow before planting soft kissing upon your pouting lips.

i want to razor my lips in little thin strips then feed them to birds that once sung sweet songs as we awakened mornings after nights of lovemaking.

our love unmaking has become my painstaking.

the pain helps me forget im losing you.

Exquisitely brutal and entirely honest. I loved this poem. The imagery is ridiculously perfect.
I usually copy and paste my very favorite lines, but I'd be copying the whole poem. However, if I had to pick:
"i want to rip my skin in long slow strokes to drown out the crying of my heart."
AND
"our love unmaking has become my painstaking.
the pain helps me forget im loosing you."

Amazingly vivid and just pitch perfect clarity in your words. I really enjoyed this (I Favorited). Glad to have discovered you!

I have to agree, I love the descriptions and it is very vivid. Memories of love are impossible to erase.

Damn. As a writer, this was well written. Very descriptive...vivid imagery. As a woman...a woman who can't stop loving her ex...I totally feel this piece... Again, DAMN.
