i kissed new lips

i kissed new lips

A Poem by bey
"

thoughts brought on by hurt

"

i dreamed i kissed new lips

and they were sweet like acceptance

the sting of sharp disdain

did not linger once the kiss was done

what's done looms large

above me when i lay at night

restless i am

with only the reverberating rejection

of me, myself and i

to lull me asleep

a sleep i cannot reach

i dream awake

the chaos we've seemed to create

our perfect little hell

that we keep so well

i no longer want

she

use to love me

she truly did

This was articulate and extraordinary... very moving, succinct but certainly not simple. The emotions were concisely woven into your words, just a lovely piece. I know exactly where you're coming from; it's almost as if you've come into my heart and realized what I'm feeling. It takes a true talent to be able to connect with their reader on such a level. Beautifully done. :)

Sometime the dream is better than the reality. A wonderful write though. Two hooves up. Kudos.
