balance

balance

A Poem by bey
"

it was for february

"

we

a lost people

we walk aimlessly amidst this world

no intentions obtained

we just exist

no pride we hold

no family we mold

we create to procreate

a sculpted chaos

that we look upon as a masterpiece to praise

our ancestors battled disfranchisement

while we embrace dissension

where is the chastening rod?

the road they trod

we have long gone astray

we no longer hear the voices

of our grandfathers generations passed

those voices sung from the fields

of our liberty being nigh

those voices reaching high

now fall upon deaf ears, it seems

a new dream...

we are a mighty family unit

we are unified

and our pride and love is as unmovable

like the mount of Zion

we love undefiled

we live in the absence of depravity

our culture is celebrated

and a new nation of people we become

we wear self respect as a badge of honor

we honor our elders as ambassadors of dignity

we dignify ourselves by walking with God

God is our head

we need balance
