So short, but not immediately obvious in terms of what this piece is seeking to express.

Despite my being a guy, I reckon that I can just about grasp the emotional angle to this.

Basically, it would apply to lovers who are already close; and known one another for quite a while.

In such a scenario, the mere "whisper" of words may well be enough; to "feel you". Indeed, particular if such words are uttered; in the way of so called "sweet nothings". Or, possibly involving some special words; of unique meaning to the lovers.?

It's almost like a hidden easter egg of life that works far better than shouting at the top of your lungs, which only makes more people notice how overly loud you are being.
Plus, there is nothing like the comfort of a cozy chat with someone, no matter how far away they are.
