Invisible GirlA Poem by bcfroYou are the girl that no one can see, Yet I am a boy and I see you clearly, I see you alone, when you wander the hall, I see you in class, in the back, when you bawl, I see all your loneliness, under your sleeve, I see all the sadness when you stand up to leave, I see you walking all alone, And walk up to you, and say hello, You flinch and run, as if, I'm going to harm you, Why would I, I just want to talk to you, Please don't run away, I need you to stay, I will follow you, And I will do, Whatever to get it through, That I'm in love, with only you. I see you get off the bus, Head hung and heart lost, I ask the driver, wait a moment, And walk towards you with all devotion, You close the door, And shut me out, without remorse. I see the light turn on in your room, I knock on the door, It opens wide, I walk upstairs, And in despair, I see you there, The ribbon wrapped around her neck, The stool is sitting under her, I run to her, And pull her down, And I tell her how I feel, I tell her the ordeal, Of having things to say but never knowing, How or when to say them though, I love her but she didn't know, She said she thought nobody knew, The things that she was going through, Thought she was sitting all alone, When really she was always known, And all emotion she had bared, She thought that nobody cared.
