Look In Your Mirror

Look In Your Mirror

A Poem by TripleCK

Distortion
Faces clouded
Seeing only what they don't
Make a monster
Only you
You turn beauty against yourself
Fear unspoken
Drowning at sea
Standing on an island
Of disbelief
Stuck between reality and lies
You've built a wall
I can't help you
If you won't let me in

Tiffany.... actually unfortunately this fits for many people. What we see in ourselves is almost never what others see. And usually we see worse. If we let those thoughts take over we see the good less and less until we see nothing but exaggerated ugliness and we block out those who see different... refuse to see what they see...it's almost easier to see ourselves this way...atleast thats what I get out of it.
