This Fear Within Me

This Fear Within Me

A Poem by BLBrown
"

An abstract poem of sadness and wonder stemming from abuse.

"

What about this fear within me?

         What about this pathetic plea?

What about how much I cower?

What about this void of power?

What of that is coming after?

What of that is cunning laughter?

What of teardrops on the window?

                           What of waterfalls there below?

What of me in this shattered shame?

What of you is there left to blame?

                     What of this loneliness herein?

What of that deadly evil grin?

What about ripping you to shreds?

What about tearing off your head?

What about leaving you to die?

What about me now free to cry?
